The Launch of the First Women's Quranic Competition in Libyan Universities and Academies Under the Theme "Women of Memorization"
On Wednesday, February 19, the first women's Quranic competition in Libyan universities and academies, under the theme "Women of Memorization", was officially launched. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the supervision of the Women's Support and Empowerment Office at the ministry, in collaboration with women's empowerment offices in universities.
The University of Sabratha is participating in the first round of the competition, hosted by Al-Zawiya University, alongside Al-Jafara University. The number of participants from each university is as follows:
- University of Sabratha: 48 competitors
- Al-Jafara University: 24 competitors
- Al-Zawiya University: 119 competitors
The competition aims to encourage women in higher education institutions to memorize and recite the Holy Quran while highlighting the importance and positive impact of such competitions in Libyan universities and all higher education institutions.
The competition consists of four categories:
- Memorization of the entire Quran
- Memorization of the last half of the Quran
- Memorization of the last quarter of the Quran
- Memorization of the last three Juz' (Juz' Amma, Juz' Tabarak, and Juz' Qad Sami’a)
